Join Ted & Laura King for the ultimate riding weekend on their home turf in Vermont’s incredible Mad River Valley!

 

Vermont is a true mecca for gravel riding with creative routes expanding over thousands of miles of perfect dirt roads, backcountry trails, and singletrack.

What's Included

Full weekend pass: $795/person

We’ll spend the weekend hanging out at and riding from Madbush Falls, Vermont’s biking basecamp. The all-inclusive experience will offer a carefully curated selection of rides to choose from, as well as a full schedule of sauna sessions and workshops on everything related to optimizing your riding experience. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included. 

The Food

Chef Cody Pratt's Vermont-inspired menu will give you the get-up-and-go you need in the morning and a hearty reward after a big day.  Featuring a full breakfast with Brio Coffee, the apres menu you crave after a big day on the hill, and hearty, creative dinner entrees, our menu works every day for everyone.

Gravel Routes

The Routes

Ted & Laura and Madbush guides have put our heads together to feature the best VT has to offer. Routes range from 25 miles to 85 miles and 2300’ to 8500’ of climbing

The behemoth

“The Behemoth” is a truly special route if you have the legs for it, getting you deep in the VT woods on long stretches of Class IV roads, smooth gravel sections, swimming holes and sweeping views.  

Power Hour

The Schedule

Friday

Early Bird Afternoon

Join us Friday late afternoon if your travel plans can get you there in time!

 

3PM-5PM: Arrive and check in at Madbush Falls. 

 

5PM-7:00pm: Selection of group or individual rides for all ability levels (check out the routes

 

7PM: Welcome dinner (beer, wine & cocktails available for purchase)

  • Meet and hang together over appetizers, dinner and dessert

  • Meet Ted, Laura & Stu 

  • Preview riding and programming for the weekend

Saturday

​​​A very full day of all things riding. Participants will choose longer routes or shorter ones followed by swimming, workshops, massage,  sauna/cold plunge and a live podcast!

Rides

​All rides are rigorous. There will be a designated leader of each ride. The medium and/or shorter rides will follow a pace for a wider range of ability levels.  

7AM-7PM: Riders Outpost bike shop open 

7AM-8:30AM: Coffee and breakfast

  • Bagged lunch for ride included (meat, veggie, GF, and GF/Veggie options available)  

8AM: Let's talk tire pressure​

 

9AM: Long ride leaves

 

9:30AM: Short and medium rides leave

 

12PM-3PM: Post-ride swim, massage, relax, refuel 

2PM-5PM: Coffee station open

  • Full brio coffee & espresso program (included)

  • Restaurant and Bar open (not included)

3PM-5PM: Workshops and activities​​​​

  • Gear deep dives: 

    • Choose the best tires

    • Matching frame type to your riding style

    • Deep dive into Ride With GPS and route building

  • Repair workshops with Luke Burgess, GM of Riders Outpost

    • What goes wrong in the field 

    • Routine maintenance to keep your gears cranking 

  • Health and fitness with Sara Headley 

  • Nutrition and fueling with Laura King

  • Open Sauna at Savu Saunas

 

5PM-7PM: Reception and dinner (drinks included) 

 

7PM-9:30PM: Gravel Kings podcast with live audience over dessert.

  • Guests bring 1-3 questions to ask the hosts.

  • Mountain Bike Rides leave (weather permitting) 

    • MTB’s available for rent (advance reservations recommended but not required )

 

10AM: Lazy Sunday ride leaves 

 

12PM: Lazy Sunday ride returns, medium rides return

 

1PM-3PM: Rides with Ted & Laura Return

 

2PM-4PM: Open sauna
